Caring for your Jewelry

Store in a jewelry box

Keep your jewelry safe when you’re not wearing it by storing it in a jewelry box or within an airtight container in a cool and dry place.

Avoid extreme temperatures

Ensure your jewelry is shielded from extreme temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight, as these factors can lead to discoloration and an acceleration of tarnishing.

Remove before showering

It is advisable to take off your jewelry before showering or bathing, as exposure to water and chlorine can result in damage over time.

Wear on dry skin

Apply skin and hair products like perfumes, lotions, or sunscreens before adorning your jewelry, allowing them to dry completely. Moisture can contribute to tarnishing and discoloration.

Take off before exercise

Before engaging in any physical activities or exercises, remove your jewelry to prevent potential damage.

Avoid household cleaners

Avoid wearing your jewelry while using household cleaners or bleach, as certain chemicals may react unfavorably with precious metals.

Caring for silver- and gold-plated jewelry

With regular daily wear, silver- and gold-plated jewelry may exhibit signs of gradual wear, especially in frequently used areas like the chain, back of a pendant, or earring backs. While you might notice a gradual color change, it's essential to understand that this is a natural consequence of regular use, not a flaw in the item. To preserve the condition of your plated jewelry, we suggest storing it in a sealed plastic bag during periods of non-use.

Caring for gemstones

Handle jewelry with stones delicately, as gemstones can become fragile and may naturally loosen with prolonged wear. Steer clear of accidental bumps or knocks against hard surfaces to safeguard your semi-precious stone jewelry from any unintended damage.

Handle with care

Treat fragile items with caution to avoid tangling or scratching during the cleaning process.

Wear protective gloves

Ensure the use of protective gloves or mitts while cleaning jewelry to protect your skin.

Don’t use chemicals

Avoid using regular household cleaners, as the chemicals they contain can cause damage to stones and lead to metal discoloration.

Use a soft polishing cloth after every use

Regular and gentle cleaning using a soft, lint-free cloth will maintain the optimal appearance of your jewelry and assist in preventing natural tarnishing. It is recommended to clean your jewelry after each use and store your precious pieces in a sealed bag or airtight container when not in use.

Dry with a soft cloth

If your jewelry gets wet, ensure to wipe it dry and buff it to a polished finish using a soft, non-abrasive cloth, such as a microfiber cloth.

Cleaning silver jewellery

Over time, sterling silver jewelry naturally tarnishes. Yet, using a soft, lint-free cloth to polish and buff the metal can effectively maintain your jewelry in good condition. Consider using a specialized silver liquid polish to restore the shine of your silver pieces; it's also available in convenient wipes for ease of use.
